Coach Joe Ballestero has spent countless years teaching the game of basketball. Prior to coaching at Esperanza High School, he coached the Girl’s Basketball Team at Orange High School in 05’ and 06’. He took over a program that had a 5-72 record over the previous 5 seasons. During the 06’-07’ season, he led the Girl’s team to a 21-6 record, winning the Golden West League Championships and setting the record for most wins in Orange HS Girls Basketball history. His expertise dates back to over 17 years ago when he founded and directed Rock Solid Basketball. Over the past two decades, he has helped develop numerous 1st-Team and 2nd-Team All-Orange County basketball players. Coach Joe is by far the most knowledgeable and decorated coach in our program.
